W\u00e4hrend beide die Fernsteuerung und -\u00fcberwachung elektrischer Ger\u00e4te erm\u00f6glichen, ist CSS (Control and Supervision System) ein umfassenderes System, das mehrere Funktionen, einschlie\u00dflich Schutz, Automatisierung und \u00dcberwachung, integriert. USS (Unit Substation System) hingegen ist ein eigenst\u00e4ndiges System, das f\u00fcr kleinere Umspannwerke entwickelt wurde und sich auf die Fernsteuerung und \u00dcberwachung einzelner Einheiten konzentriert.
